The music featured on this record reflect on my years of listening to music and the inspiration of playing drums. I made this EP specifically to be heavy, because I grew up listening to thrashy guitar riffs, while also enjoying many popular hard rock/metal bands. That was until I discovered progressive metal. It opened up my horizons to whole new levels, and helped me expand on my music library and songwriting abilities (which you can hear more thoroughly on Sterile Feculence).

These songs were also rearranged to fit in the Mellevon catalogue, but were never given the chance to be released under their name. So, I had April to help me finish up the mastering to the songs, then I took care of most of the vocals, while my sister Brittany did the cleans for Phantom Pain. That song was lyrically written by my good friend, Kate. Finally, I asked my bandmate Jonathan of Vicarious Reality to write and perform a wicked guitar solo for Sterile Feculence, which he did, and I couldn't have asked for anyone else to do the job.
